Senior Electrical Engineer (Contractor)
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Engineer (Contract) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing electrical harnesses schematics that meet DoD command and control shelter specifications for TEMPEST controls. Your expertise will drive the design input into cable braiding, connector and backshell specifications, as well as power loss/draw analysis. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced program and collaborate with various engineering disciplines.
Duties
- Develop detailed electrical schematics that meet DoD and Commercial specifications for EMI protection.
- Perform analysis to ensure electrical architecture meets performance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, systems engineers, and project managers.
- Develop appropriate documentation to support customer out briefs, analysis reports, artifacts of compliance and design reviews.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen
- Five or more years’ design and development experience with electrical harness and electrical architecture in accordance with industry standards (IEC/IEEE/IPC/NEC/etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with electrical focus, or a related field.
- Strong skillsets with Visio or similar wire diagram program
- Personality Traits - Self-starter, team player, task oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Seven or more years’ design and development experience with electrical harness and electrical architecture in accordance with industry standards (IEC/IEEE/IPC/NEC/etc.).
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite of Application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Pay: $86.00 - $108.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
