SUMMARY
The QA/QC Manager is a senior aerospace leadership role with dual accountability for the company Quality Management System and the quality of all products delivered to customers. This position oversees all quality operations, including functional testing, in-process and final inspection, and first article inspection (FAI), while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and NADCAP standards. The QA/QC Manager leads Quality Inspectors, Quality Engineers, Quality Assurance personnel and Document Control as well as serving as the primary point of contact for customers, auditors, and supplier quality representatives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own and maintain the full Quality Management System
- Lead first article inspections (FAI) and ensure AS9102 forms are completed on time
- Generate and manage NCRs; document discrepancies and communicate findings to MRB
- Schedule and facilitate third-party audits — AS9100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP
- Oversee inspection of raw materials and finished products including tubing, assemblies, fittings, and machined parts
- Review and approve quality documents, purchase orders, and sub-tier supplier procurement
- Produce customer documentation: DIPs, FAIRs, Certificates of Conformance, and SPC data
- Lead a team of inspectors, quality engineers, QA personnel, and document control staff
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and overtime to meet production demands
- Deliver hands-on training in GD&T, inspection methods, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct annual performance reviews and drive accountability across the team
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, auditors, and supplier quality reps
- Lead RCCA investigations and ensure corrective actions are fully resolved
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Bachelor's degree in quality, engineering, or manufacturing (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of supervisory quality experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing
- Deep knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, GD&T, and ITAR compliance
- Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems (Visual Manufacturing a plus)
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or ASQ CQM certification, a strong plus
