Lead Aerospace Manufacturing Excellence
We are seeking a Site Director to lead all aspects of a high-performance Aerospace Manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for Manufacturing Operations, Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Safety, and Financial Performance.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Operations Leader with deep experience in AS9100-certified Aerospace Manufacturing environments, strong P&L Management skills, and a background in Machining, Fabrication, Assembly, and Precision Manufacturing. Candidates with experience operating or working directly with manufacturing equipment and supporting production teams on the shop floor are highly preferred.
What You'll Do
- Lead all Manufacturing Operations and site performance
- Manage Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance
- Drive Operational Excellence, productivity, and profitability
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, ITAR, and Quality Standards
- Oversee Production Scheduling, Capacity Planning, and Resource Allocation
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Own site P&L Management, budgeting, and cost-control strategies
- Develop and mentor cross-functional leadership teams
- Improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity KPIs
- Support customer requirements and strategic business objectives
- Maintain audit readiness and quality compliance programs
- Partner with Engineering and Program Management on new product introductions
- Drive workflow optimization and operational transformation projects
- Provide leadership on the shop floor and assist during staffing shortages when needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years of leadership experience in Aerospace Manufacturing
- 5+ years managing Manufacturing Operations or multi-department teams
- Experience in AS9100-certified Manufacturing Environments
- Proven P&L Management and operational budget ownership
- Experience leading large cross-functional teams
- Strong knowledge of Machining, Fabrication, Assembly, and Precision Manufacturing
- Experience with ERP Systems and Production Planning
- Demonstrated success driving Operational Excellence and business performance
- Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master's Degree in Engineering
- Lean Manufacturing Certification
- Six Sigma Certification
- Experience in FAA-Regulated Manufacturing Environments
- Knowledge of ITAR Compliance
- Experience operating or working directly with manufacturing machinery
- Background supporting multiple manufacturing departments
- Experience in Aerospace Machining Operations
