Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Systems Engineer (Contract) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking design requirements for a command and control shelter for the United States Department of War. Your expertise will ensure that the mechanical and electrical designs meet all applicable customer specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a fast-paced program and collaborate with various engineering disciplines.
Duties
- Track requirements and compile artifacts of compliance to meet command and control shelter requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers.
- Develop appropriate documentation to support customer out briefs, analysis reports, artifacts of compliance and design reviews.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen
- Five or more years’ design and development experience as a Systems Engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of Engineering.
- Familiarity with electrical architecture in accordance with industry standards (IEC/IEEE/IPC/NEC/etc.).
- Personality Traits - Self-starter, team player, task oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with CAD programs, preferably SolidWorks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Seven or more years’ design and development experience as a Systems Engineer.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite of Application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Pay: $86.00 - $108.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 50.0 per week
