BRAND AMBASSADOR / FIELD SALES REPRESENTATIVE — ADULT-USE BEVERAGE & SPECIALTY CPG (CALIFORNIA)
THE OPPORTUNITY
A premium California CPG brand is hiring an experienced Brand Ambassador / Field Sales Representative to grow distribution, build brand awareness, and support account growth across the state. If you've built relationships in spirits, wine, beer, or tobacco and you know how to win shelf space, earn buyer trust, educate accounts, and turn a cold account into a reorder, this is a role built for your skill set.
We make precision-crafted adult-use products — think infused beverages, ready-to-pour formats, and specialty syrups — for California's licensed, age-restricted retail channel. It's a regulated, relationship-driven category that rewards professionals who already understand compliance-sensitive selling, distributor dynamics, in-market education, and the rhythm of a well-run territory.
WHO THRIVES IN THIS ROLE
This is a natural next step if you come from:
- Wine, spirits, or craft beer distribution, brand ambassador, or field sales experience
- Tobacco or vape category management, route sales, or account education
- Premium beverage or specialty CPG brand-building
- Any age-restricted, license-bound category where relationships, education, and merchandising win
You already speak the language of buyers, distributors, and floor staff. You know how a regulated product moves from a pitch to a placement to a velocity story. We'll teach you the category specifics — you bring the relationship-building instincts, brand presence, and field execution.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own a California territory and grow it like your own business
- Open new licensed retail accounts and deepen the ones already on the books
- Run in-person buyer meetings, tastings, demos, and product education
- Build brand awareness with buyers, store teams, and consumers where appropriate
- Build and merchandise displays that move product off the shelf
- Support reorders by keeping accounts educated, engaged, and excited about the brand
- Hit revenue and market-share targets with a disciplined call cadence
- Track every account touch and keep a clean, organized pipeline
- Partner with leadership on new launches, promotional pushes, and account activations
- Represent the brand at trade shows, industry events, and in-market activations
WHAT YOU BRING
- A proven brand ambassador, outside-sales, or distribution track record in a regulated, age-restricted category
- Comfort with compliance-sensitive selling, account education, and licensed-channel rules
- Sharp communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- The ability to build trust fast and keep accounts engaged for the long haul
- Self-starter energy — you don't wait for a script
- Strong organization and time management
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for territory travel
COMPENSATION
- Competitive base plus an aggressive, uncapped commission structure
- You earn on everything you sell
- Real advancement runway as the brand scales
WHY THIS BRAND
- Get in early on a premium portfolio in one of California's fastest-growing licensed categories
- A product line built on craft, quality, and a distinct point of view
- A lean, ambitious team where your numbers are visible and your wins matter
- A category that's still being shaped — and room to shape it
HOW TO APPLY
Send your resume and a short note on your sales, brand ambassador, or field marketing background — especially any experience in spirits, wine, beer, tobacco, or other regulated CPG categories — and why this role caught your eye. If you know how to build relationships, educate accounts, and grow a territory from zero, let's talk.

Entry Level Field Sales Representative Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level field sales representative job?
Employers hiring entry level field sales representatives look for candidates who can demonstrate persistence, communication skills, and a basic understanding of a sales cycle. Internship experience, campus sales roles, or even volunteer fundraising work can give you a real edge. Tailoring your resume to highlight quota attainment, outreach volume, or any measurable result from past work shows employers you understand what the role demands.
Which companies hire entry level field sales representatives?
Companies hiring entry level field sales representatives right now include Cox Automotive, Mane and Weft, and Canyon Creek Financial, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including regional distributors, national consumer brands, and startups building their first outside sales teams.
Are there remote entry level field sales representative jobs?
Yes, though most field sales roles involve in-person territory work by nature. About 70% of entry level field sales representative openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, which typically means inside sales support, virtual demos, or hybrid territory management where you work from home between client visits.
Are these new grad field sales representative jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A new-grad-friendly posting typically states it accepts zero to two years of experience, values internships or campus involvement, and does not require an established book of business. Recent graduates entering field sales often find these roles a strong first step into a commission-driven career.
Which industries hire the most entry level field sales representatives?
Entry Level field sales representative roles concentrate in Telecommunications, Chemicals & Materials, and Science & Research, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they rely on relationship-based selling, high territory volume, and a steady pipeline of new reps to cover growing regional demand.
