Job Description:
Join our team as a Inside Salesperson, where you will be responsible for engaging with inbound leads—no cold calling required. You will answer inquiries, resolve issues, confirm sales, and escalate problems as needed. This role requires interaction with hundreds of customers each week to sell Lawn Programs and related services while ensuring a best-in-class customer experience. To succeed, you must be confident, fully engaged, a team player, and bring a positive, enthusiastic attitude to work every day. *NO COLD CALLING* *ELIGIBLE FOR BONUSES AND COMMISSIONS*
- Customer Service Excellence: Process inbound and outbound contacts in a courteous, timely, and professional manner. Provide excellent customer service by listening to customers, understanding their needs, and achieving budgeted close rates.
- Generate Revenue: Drive revenue by understanding and interpreting customer requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
- Account Management: Accurately obtain and enter data to provide complete information and assist the customer/prospect in a professional manner.
- Follow-up on Estimates: Follow up on current and previous year estimates in a timely manner.
- Escalation & Resolution: Escalate customer issues to the appropriate staff or managerial team for resolution as needed.
- Utilize Technology & Systems: Use systems and technology effectively to complete account management tasks, follow scripts, policies, and procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain and improve quality results by following standards and recommending improved procedures.
- Continuous Learning: Attend meetings and training, review all new training material, and stay up to date on changes in program knowledge, systems, and processes.
- Customer Service Skills: Possess excellent customer service skills, including empathy and active listening.
- Strong Closing Techniques: Confident in closing sales with a customer-centered approach.
- Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
- Technical Competence: Strong computer and systems skills with the ability to quickly and accurately input data.
- Self-Discipline: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Sales Experience Preferred: Previous sales experience is preferred.
- Problem Solving & Negotiation: Aptitude for problem-solving and negotiation.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes and ambiguity.
- Reliability: Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Continuous Development: Regular technical training and use of outside resources in computer/marketing/agronomy and customer service is expected.
- Basic Agronomics Knowledge: Basic knowledge of agronomics/horticulture is a plus.
- Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications and the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
- 2+ years in Sales and/or landscaping industry would be ideal
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to stoop and bend
