Field Service Technician | Custom Mobility Equipment | Company Vehicle Provided

Stride Mobility Group is hiring a reliable, mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to serve patients and facilities in the Dayton area.

This is a field-based role. Stride Mobility Group is headquartered in Huron, Ohio, but this position does not require a daily commute to Huron. You will primarily work in the Columbus, Dayton and surrounding areas, with occasional trips to Huron, typically once a month, to pick up parts, paperwork, and equipment. Travel time is paid and a company vehicle is provided.

What You’ll Do

As a Field Service Technician, you will deliver, set up, adjust, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain home medical equipment and custom mobility equipment for clients who rely on it every day.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering and setting up home medical equipment and custom rehab equipment
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and basic electronic components
• Adjusting equipment to meet each client’s individual needs as directed by the ATP
• Educating clients, families, caregivers, and facility staff on proper use, care, safety, and troubleshooting
• Communicating clearly with clients, caregivers, facilities, and internal team members
• Coordinating daily routes and service visits with the customer service team
• Maintaining service records, delivery documentation, mileage logs, vehicle checks, and equipment tracking
• Representing Stride Mobility Group with professionalism, patience, and a solution-focused mindset

What We’re Looking For

The right candidate does not need to know everything on day one. We are willing to train someone who is reliable, hands-on, and eager to learn.

A strong candidate will have:

• Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• A reliable work ethic and pride in doing quality work
• Good communication skills
• Comfort working independently and spending time on the road
• Ability to use basic electronic devices and learn company systems
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or GED

Experience with DME, complex rehab technology, wheelchairs, power mobility, equipment repair, field service, automotive repair, appliance repair, small engine repair, maintenance, or similar hands-on work is a plus.

This role includes regular driving, standing, walking, sitting, using tools and equipment, and working in client homes and care facilities. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
