Part builder. Part operator. Part commercial weapon. We’re hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to sit between our biggest customers and our product. One day you’re prototyping an integration with a CTO. The next you’re in a pricing conversation with their CFO, unblocking a go-live at 11pm, or telling our product team why a feature is losing us deals. You don’t need to be the strongest engineer in the room. You need to be the one who can read a codebase, write enough TypeScript to be dangerous, and translate between a customer’s tech team and their commercial team without losing either. People who do this well at Stripe, Ramp, and Palantir end up running customer engineering orgs, becoming GMs, or starting their own companies. We’ll back whichever path fits.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own technical onboarding from signed contract to production launch
• Prototype integrations, debug live issues, advise on system design
• Partner with Sales to expand accounts through technical credibility
• Turn customer pain into product insight for our Engineering team
WHO THIS IS FOR
• Founding or early engineers who like customers more than commits
• Former founders who can code well enough to be dangerous
• Consultants who’ve quietly been shipping side projects
• PMs or sales engineers at fintech/infra companies ready for more upside
• 2–5 year engineers with sharp commercial instincts
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Enough TypeScript/React to be useful in a war room
• Comfort with REST APIs, webhooks, and SQL
• Executive presence with CTOs and CFOs
• Bias to action and comfort with ambiguity
