Radiology Practitioner Assistant Green Card Jobs

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Radiology Practitioner Assistant
Verify your credentials meet ARRT standards
Many PERM petitions for Radiology Practitioner Assistants require ARRT advanced-level certification. Confirm your foreign credentials are evaluated for U.S. equivalency before any employer files, since USCIS scrutinizes credentialing documents closely at the I-140 stage.
Target hospital systems with PERM filing history
Large academic medical centers and regional hospital networks file PERM applications far more regularly than private imaging clinics. Search DOL disclosure data to identify which health systems have sponsored radiology roles in recent years before you apply.
Search for sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Radiology Practitioner Assistant openings by employers with active green card sponsorship history. This cuts out the guesswork of cold-applying to radiology groups that don't sponsor foreign professionals.
Request prevailing wage documentation from your employer
Before PERM is filed, DOL sets a prevailing wage for your role and location using the OFLC Wage Search. Ask your employer which wage level they intend to certify at, since Level I or II designations can affect your job duties description and PERM approval odds.
Understand EB-3 timelines differ by birth country
EB-3 green card priority dates move at different speeds depending on your country of birth, not citizenship. Nationals from countries without significant backlogs can reach permanent residency faster than H-1B holders in oversubscribed categories, making EB-3 a strategically strong path for many Radiology Practitioner Assistants.
Clarify scope of practice before PERM job duties are drafted
Your PERM application locks in your job duties permanently. State licensing boards vary on what Radiology Practitioner Assistants can perform, so confirm your scope of practice in the hiring state before the employer finalizes the labor certification description.

Find Radiology Practitioner Assistant JobsRadiology Practitioner Assistant Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Radiology Practitioner Assistant role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Both categories can apply. EB-3 is the more common path and covers skilled workers with a bachelor's degree or the equivalent in specialized training and experience. EB-2 applies if the position genuinely requires an advanced degree, which some senior or supervisory Radiology Practitioner Assistant roles do. Your employer's attorney will determine which category fits the specific job duties and minimum requirements.
How is the green card PERM process different from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
PERM leads to permanent residency, not a temporary status. Unlike the H-1B, EB-3 green card sponsorship has no annual lottery, so your application isn't subject to random selection. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification, I-140 approval, and adjustment of status can take two to four years or longer, compared to H-1B status changes that can happen in months. For many nationalities, EB-3 is a more reliable long-term strategy.
Which employers sponsor green cards for Radiology Practitioner Assistants?
Academic medical centers, Veterans Affairs hospitals, and large regional health systems are the most active sponsors. Outpatient imaging centers and teleradiology companies occasionally sponsor but are less consistent. Use Migrate Mate to search for Radiology Practitioner Assistant positions filtered by employers with documented green card sponsorship history, which saves significant time compared to manually screening job postings.
What credentials do I need for a PERM-sponsored Radiology Practitioner Assistant position?
Most PERM petitions for this role require ARRT advanced-level certification in Radiologist Assistant, plus a bachelor's degree or higher in radiologic science or a related field. If your credentials were earned outside the U.S., you'll need a foreign credential evaluation from a NACES-member organization. USCIS reviews these evaluations at the I-140 stage, so the equivalency determination needs to be thorough and well-documented.
Can I change employers after my green card petition is filed?
Job portability under AC21 allows you to change to a same or similar occupation after your I-485 has been pending for 180 days, without losing your priority date. Radiology Practitioner Assistant roles are specific enough that switching to a different radiology subspecialty employer may require careful review of whether the new duties are sufficiently similar. Consult your immigration attorney before accepting a new offer while your adjustment of status is pending.
