Senior Level Head Of Content Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level head of content job?
Employers at this level want candidates who have owned a content strategy end to end, not just executed one. Demonstrating that you have set editorial direction, managed teams or agencies, and tied content output to measurable business outcomes is what separates strong applicants. A portfolio showing audience growth, pipeline contribution, or brand authority built over time gives you a concrete edge.
Which companies hire senior level head of contents?
Companies hiring senior level head of contents right now include State Street, Anthropic, and Nasdaq, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from organizations scaling their content function, launching new products, or consolidating editorial and demand-generation efforts under a single senior leader.
Are there remote senior level head of content jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid arrangements are common at this level given the strategic nature of the work. About 43% of senior level head of content openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting employer confidence that experienced content leaders can drive results without being on-site full time.
What makes a head of content role senior level?
Senior level head of content roles are defined by ownership of outcomes rather than ownership of tasks. Expectations include setting the overall content strategy, building or leading a team, influencing executive stakeholders, and connecting content performance to revenue or growth metrics. Mentoring junior and mid-level content professionals is also a standard part of the role at this stage.
Which industries hire the most senior level head of contents?
Senior Level head of content roles concentrate in Banking & Financial Services, Science & Research, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to invest heavily in content at a senior level because they compete for audience attention, generate complex buyer journeys, or rely on thought leadership to differentiate their products and services.
