Do you get excited when a complex flow measurement challenge turns into a strategic win? Do you enjoy opening new markets, building OEM relationships, and creating repeatable revenue opportunities? Do you love translating deep Coriolis application expertise into business value customers can act on? Do you want to help shape how a national sales organization grows a focused product portfolio?
Yokogawa is looking for a Coriolis Market Development Manager. Join our IAPS team to help accelerate adoption, expand strategic accounts, and grow Yokogawa’s Coriolis business across the United States.
About Yokogawa
Yokogawa is a global leader in industrial automation, test, and measurement solutions, combining technology, engineering services, project management, and maintenance to help customers improve operational efficiency, safety, quality, and reliability. Founded in Tokyo in 1915, Yokogawa serves customers across process industries where measurement accuracy, uptime, and technical confidence matter every day.
This is an opportunity to join a focused growth effort at an important moment for the Coriolis portfolio. You will work with sales, product management, application support, OEM partners, and end users to expand Yokogawa’s position in high-accuracy flow measurement applications across industries such as oil and gas, chemical, terminal operations, food and beverage, and engineered solutions.
Role and Responsibilities
As the Coriolis Market Development Manager, you will own the development of new Coriolis business across U.S. markets. This is a senior individual-contributor role for someone who is comfortable hunting for new opportunities, building trust with technical and commercial stakeholders, and moving opportunities from early discovery to measurable revenue impact.
You will partner with direct and indirect sales teams to identify target accounts, pursue OEM design-in opportunities, displace competitors, and build a qualified pipeline. You will also bring field insight back into the organization so product management, marketing, application support, and operations can better support customers and simplify the buying process.
In this role, you will:
- Develop strategic relationships with OEMs and engineered solution partners that rely on complex, high-accuracy flow measurement.
- Secure design-in positions, preferred specifications, and scalable multi-site opportunities.
- Lead Coriolis-focused discovery, solution scoping, competitive positioning, site trials, and customer reference development.
- Provide expert guidance on meter selection, sizing, compensation methods, custody transfer, batch operations, and demanding process conditions.
- Maintain strong pipeline discipline and publish a monthly Coriolis business development scorecard.
A Day in the Life
On Monday morning, you start by reviewing the Coriolis pipeline and preparing updates for Gregg Johnson. One opportunity is moving quickly: an engineered systems partner is comparing Coriolis solutions for a multi-site batching application, and the customer needs confidence that the meter selection will hold accuracy under demanding process conditions. You review the sizing notes, identify the commercial risk, and align with application support before the customer call.
By Tuesday afternoon, you are on-site with an OEM partner walking through a skid design. The conversation moves from technical requirements to repeatable commercial value: how the right specification can reduce rework, simplify commissioning, and create a standard that scales across future projects. You help the customer connect meter performance, total cost of ownership, and delivery expectations in language their engineering and procurement teams can both use.
On Wednesday, you work remotely between calls with direct sales, product management, and product marketing. A regional salesperson shares feedback from a competitive displacement opportunity, and you turn that insight into clearer talking points for an upcoming presentation. Later, you document voice-of-customer themes around pricing,
lead times, and calibration needs so the internal team can evaluate what is helping or slowing adoption.
Thursday is focused on execution. You coordinate a proof of concept with field application support, confirm the success criteria, and make sure the trial is set up to produce a credible reference if the results meet expectations. You also work with inside sales and operations to protect pricing discipline and keep the proposed solution aligned with the original specification.
By Friday, you are looking ahead. You update the scorecard, review forecast movement, and identify which opportunities need executive visibility, technical support, or a sharper competitive strategy. You end the week with a clear view of where new Coriolis revenue is being created, where adoption is blocked, and what actions will move the market forward next.
Who You Are
You are a technical commercial leader with deep flow instrumentation experience and the discipline to operate independently in a national market development role. You know how to earn credibility with engineers, OEMs, sales teams, and commercial decision-makers, and you are energized by building pipeline where there is not already a defined path.
You bring:
- 7–10+ years of experience in Coriolis or flow instrumentation, including business development or market expansion responsibility.
- A technical program background, bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proven success securing OEM design-in positions across industries such as oil and gas, chemical, terminal operations, food and beverage, or engineered systems.
- Strong ability to translate technical value into commercial outcomes, including ROI and total cost of ownership.
- Excellent presentation, written communication, problem-solving, and customer discovery skills.
You are self-directed, disciplined, and comfortable managing a national territory with significant travel. You also have a valid driver’s license and can occasionally lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
We Offer
At Yokogawa, you will have the opportunity to shape a focused growth strategy for a high-impact product area while working with experienced sales, product, and technical colleagues. You will influence customer adoption, OEM strategy, competitive positioning, and the internal capabilities that support long-term growth.
We offer:
- A visible market development role with measurable business impact.
- Flexibility for Houston-based or remote candidates in major U.S. metropolitan areas.
- Opportunities to work across industries, applications, and strategic customer relationships.
- Collaboration with sales, product management, product marketing, operations, and application support.
- A professional environment that supports learning, customer focus, and practical innovation.

Bring your Coriolis expertise, market development mindset, and customer-first approach to a role where technical depth directly shapes business growth.

Senior Level Market Development Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level market development manager job?
Employers hiring at the senior level want candidates who have owned a market expansion from strategy through execution, not just supported one. Demonstrated ability to build channel partnerships, size new opportunities with data, and align internal stakeholders across sales, product, and marketing is what sets candidates apart. A portfolio of measurable wins, such as markets entered or pipeline generated, carries significant weight at this stage.
Which companies hire senior level market development managers?
Companies hiring senior level market development managers right now include Thermo Fisher Scientific, New Leaf Energy, and MathWorks, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to concentrate in established enterprises launching into new verticals and growth-stage companies scaling their commercial footprint beyond their core market.
Are there remote senior level market development manager jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by industry and employer. About 23% of senior level market development manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in commercial roles. Senior professionals who can demonstrate strong cross-functional collaboration and territory accountability remotely are well-positioned to compete for these openings.
What makes a market development manager role senior level?
Senior level market development manager roles are defined by ownership and scope. Rather than executing a defined playbook, senior professionals are expected to develop the strategy, set priorities across multiple markets or segments, and mentor junior team members. They operate with greater autonomy, are accountable for significant revenue or growth targets, and routinely influence decisions across sales, product, and executive leadership.
Which industries hire the most senior level market development managers?
Senior Level market development manager roles concentrate in Science & Research, Consulting & Professional Services, and Manufacturing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to hire at the senior level because their growth strategies depend on entering adjacent markets or customer segments, requiring professionals with the experience to lead that expansion independently rather than with close supervision.
