Sit Social™ is seeking a reliable Overnight Dog Hotel Attendant to care for a small group of well-socialized dogs in our boutique, cage-free dog hotel located in Chicago.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly responsible, independent, observant, and genuinely enjoys overnight pet care and maintaining peaceful, clean environments for dogs.

Position DetailsSchedule
- Typically 7–14 overnight shifts per month
- Weekdays: 7 PM – 8 AM
- Weekends/Holidays: 7 PM – 9 AM
Compensation
- Flat rate: $125 per overnight shift
- Additional morning hours paid at $19/hour when applicable
Responsibilities
- Overnight supervision and care for a small group of dogs (typically 10–20)
- Feeding, medication administration, potty breaks, and monitoring behavior
- Maintaining a calm, safe, and clean environment overnight
- Completing morning cleaning and care tasks before daytime staff arrival
- Communicating clearly with management regarding any concerns
- Posting occasional updates/photos/videos to Instagram Stories
- Following safety and operational procedures consistently and independently
What We’re Looking ForRequired Traits
- Extremely reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working independently overnight
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Calm, patient, and observant with dogs
- Able to follow structure, routines, and protocols consistently
- Professional communicator who takes responsibility and problem-solves proactively
Required Experience
- 1+ years professional pet sitting, daycare, kennel, veterinary, or boarding experience
- Experience managing groups of dogs safely
- Comfortable administering medications
- References required
Preferred
- Experience with small breeds and/or sensitive dogs
- Customer service experience
- Familiarity with scheduling and communication apps
