Entry Level HRIS Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level hris analyst job?
Employers hiring entry level hris analysts typically look for familiarity with at least one HRIS platform, such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or ADP, even if that exposure came from coursework or an internship. A degree in HR, information systems, or business helps, but candidates who can demonstrate hands-on data entry, reporting, or system configuration work stand out. Certifications like the SHRM-CP or vendor-specific training add a real edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level hris analysts?
Companies hiring entry level hris analysts right now include Visual Comfort &, Pattern Energy, and Brady Corporation, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. A wide range of employers bring in analysts at this level, from large enterprises building out dedicated HR technology teams to mid-size organizations where a junior analyst handles day-to-day system maintenance and user support.
Are there remote entry level hris analyst jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and role type. About 32% of entry level hris analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the data-focused nature of the work. Roles involving sensitive employee records or hands-on system implementation are more likely to require some on-site presence, especially for candidates still building familiarity with company-specific platforms.
Are these new grad hris analyst jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that welcome recent graduates and candidates with little or no professional experience. A new grad friendly posting typically accepts zero to two years of experience, counts internships or practicum work toward that threshold, and values a portfolio or academic project demonstrating HRIS or data skills over a long employment history.
Which industries hire the most entry level hris analysts?
Entry Level hris analyst roles concentrate in Retail, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive entry level hiring because they maintain large, distributed workforces that require ongoing data management, system updates, and compliance reporting, creating steady demand for analysts who can support HR operations from day one.
