Job Summary

The Workday Systems Business Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing the organization's Workday platform and processes through system administration, reporting, configuration support, data integrity management, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with Human Resources, Payroll,

IT, managers, and business leaders to ensure accurate workforce data, effective system functionality, and scalable processes that support compensation, benefits, absence management, and broader HR operations.

The analyst serves as a key resource for Workday reporting, troubleshooting, testing, and end-user support while driving operational excellence across the organization's HR technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Administration & System Support

• Serve as a primary resource for Workday support, troubleshooting system issues and resolving end-user inquiries in partnership with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Perform ongoing system maintenance, configuration support, quality assurance, and data validation activities across Workday modules.
• Support Workday business processes, security administration, reporting, and system functionality to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
• Maintain system documentation, process guides, and knowledge base materials to support operational consistency and user adoption.
• Provide end-user training and guidance on Workday functionality, processes, and best practices.

Human Resources Functional Support

• Support Workday functionality across Benefits, Absence, Compensation, Core HCM, Payroll, Talent, and Recruiting modules.
• Partner with Compensation, Benefits, and HR teams to ensure system configurations and reporting accurately support Total Rewards programs and business requirements.
• Assist with audits, validations, and data reviews related to compensation and benefits administration.
• Maintain a strong understanding of HR operations and employee lifecycle processes to ensure effective system support and continuous alignment with business needs.

System Enhancements & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in Workday releases, testing cycles, system upgrades, and enhancement projects.
• Execute testing plans, validate results, and support deployment activities to ensure successful implementation of system changes.
• Identify opportunities for automation, reporting enhancements, and process efficiencies that improve user experience and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives and strengthen HR technology capabilities.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Workday functionality, including Benefits, Absence, Compensation, Core HCM, Payroll, Talent, and Recruiting.
• Expertise in HRIS reporting, data validation, and system administration.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues and identify effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support diverse stakeholder groups.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and customer service excellence.
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across functional teams.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience:

• 5+ years of HRIS, Workday, systems analyst, or HR technology experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Workday Benefits, Absence, and Compensation modules.
• Experience supporting Workday reporting, system administration, data quality, and end-user support.
• Experience partnering with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions and process improvements

Compensation: $78,000-$85,000

This role is eligible for a base salary within the posted range. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation may vary for positions based in high cost-of-labor markets.
