Hris Consultant Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a hris consultant in Arizona?
A bachelor's degree in human resources, information systems, or business administration is the standard entry point for hris consultant roles in Arizona. Arizona does not require a state-issued license for this role, but employers consistently favor candidates who hold a recognized industry credential such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or a vendor-specific certification like Workday Pro. Building hands-on system experience through an HR coordinator or analyst role at an Arizona employer is the most direct path to a consulting position.
Which companies hire hris consultants in Arizona?
Employers hiring hris consultants in Arizona right now include Raytheon, Wells Fargo, and Lockheed Martin, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Arizona's concentration of large healthcare networks, financial institutions, and corporate regional headquarters creates steady demand for hris professionals who can manage enterprise-scale systems across multi-site organizations.
Which Arizona cities have the most hris consultant jobs?
Phoenix, Tucson, and Yuma account for the largest share of hris consultant openings in Arizona. Phoenix drives the volume as the state's corporate headquarters hub, with major healthcare systems, banks, and insurers all maintaining centralized HR operations there, while Scottsdale and Tempe attract consulting and technology services firms that support multi-client HRIS engagements across the Southwest.
Are there remote hris consultant jobs in Arizona?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 48% of hris consultant openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of this work involves system configuration, reporting, and user support that can be done entirely off-site. Configuration, data migration, and ongoing administration work are the sub-areas most likely to be fully remote, while go-live support and end-user training often require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a hris consultant in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing an HR coordinator or HR analyst role at a large Arizona employer and building hands-on HRIS exposure from within. Banner Health, Dignity Health, and large Scottsdale-area financial firms regularly hire HR support staff who work directly inside Workday or Oracle environments. Completing a vendor-recognized certification, such as Workday Pro or an Oracle HCM Foundations credential, signals technical readiness even without formal consulting experience and is a meaningful differentiator in Arizona's applicant pool.
Where can I find and apply to hris consultant jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to hris consultant jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and preferred location or work arrangement, and apply directly to each position.
