Entry Level Infrastructure Project Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level infrastructure project manager job?
Employers at this level look for candidates who can demonstrate basic project coordination skills, familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile or PMP fundamentals, and any hands-on experience from internships, coursework, or volunteer work. A portfolio showing a completed project, even a small one, gives you a concrete edge. Certifications like CAPM or Google Project Management can also strengthen an entry level application significantly.
Which companies hire entry level infrastructure project managers?
Companies hiring entry level infrastructure project managers right now include Google, Amazon, and Carollo Engineers, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from engineering firms, government contractors, utilities, and technology companies that run large-scale infrastructure buildouts and need junior coordinators to support senior project leads.
Are there remote entry level infrastructure project manager jobs?
Yes, though most postings at this level are on-site given the hands-on coordination nature of infrastructure work. About 17% of entry level infrastructure project manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates open to in-person roles will find the widest range of opportunities at this stage.
Are these new grad infrastructure project manager jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates, junior candidates, and applicants with zero to two years of experience. A new grad posting typically accepts internship hours, academic project work, or a strong portfolio in place of full-time experience, making them the most accessible entry point for candidates just starting out in infrastructure project management.
Which industries hire the most entry level infrastructure project managers?
Entry Level infrastructure project manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Artificial Intelligence, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026.
