Job Title: Installer
Location: Cincinnati, Columbus, Walton, Detroit, Louisville
Job Description:
Installers are responsible for building and installing various types of fences at residential, commercial, and industrial job sites. This hands-on role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely with tools and outdoor equipment. The ideal candidate has experience with fence construction and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, transport, and unload materials and tools to job sites
- Measure and layout fence lines using blueprints, specs, or instructions
- Dig postholes manually, or with mechanical posthole diggers
- Set posts and ensure they are level straight, and properly spaced
- Install fence panels, gates, wire, or other fencing materials based on project type
- Secure fencing materials using concrete, nails, screws, wires, or brackets as required
- Operate power tools, saws, drills, augers, and levels
- Ensure all tools are used safely and correctly; maintain and clean tools and equipment after use
- Follow job site safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of job site
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and crew members
- Report on project issues or safety concerns to supervisor
- Provide measurements and information for estimates as required
- Conduct customer service and warranty calls
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in fence installation, construction, landscaping, or related trade (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
- Ability to lift 50-80 pounds repeatedly and perform strenuous labor in outdoor conditions
- Knowledge of wood, chainlink, vinyl, aluminum, and other fencing types
- Able to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and terrains
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Team oriented with a strong work ethic
