Insurance Jobs in Tulsa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a insurance job in Tulsa?
Tulsa's insurance market leans heavily on property and casualty, energy sector risk management, and employer-sponsored health benefits, so candidates who understand commercial lines or employee benefits have a real edge here. Downtown agencies, South Tulsa regional carriers, and the healthcare employers clustered near the medical district hire most actively. Showing familiarity with energy industry exposures or commercial real estate risk sets applicants apart in this market.
Which companies hire insurances in Tulsa?
Companies currently hiring insurances in Tulsa include BancFirst Insurance Services, State Farm, and Dental Depot, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Tulsa's mix of regional carriers, independent agencies, and large self-insured employers in energy and healthcare creates steady openings at every experience level.
Are there remote insurance jobs in Tulsa?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: field-based positions like loss control or claims investigation are typically on-site, while underwriting, policy servicing, and benefits administration are often remote-eligible. About 50% of insurance openings tied to Tulsa are remote or hybrid as of August 2026. Analytical and customer service roles at Tulsa's regional carriers tend to offer the most remote flexibility.
How can I get a insurance job in Tulsa with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Tulsa is a customer service or policy processing role at one of the regional carriers or independent agencies in Midtown or South Tulsa, where employers regularly hire candidates without prior insurance experience and provide on-the-job licensing support. Local agencies serving the energy sector also bring on licensed producer trainees. Completing your Property and Casualty license before applying puts you ahead of most entry-level candidates competing for the same openings.
