Entry Level Integration Engineer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level integration engineer job?
Employers hiring at this level look for hands-on experience with APIs, middleware, or data pipelines, even if it comes from coursework, personal projects, or internships. A GitHub portfolio that demonstrates connecting two systems or automating a data flow gives you a concrete edge. Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and at least one scripting language like Python or JavaScript is consistently valued across entry level postings.
Which companies hire entry level integration engineers?
Companies hiring entry level integration engineers right now include Apple, Shield AI, and L3Harris, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a broad mix of employers, including enterprise software companies, managed services providers, and large organizations across healthcare, finance, and logistics that rely on connected systems.
Are there remote entry level integration engineer jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles remain common at the entry level. About 10% of entry level integration engineer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting demand for candidates who can collaborate across distributed teams. Fully remote positions often appear at software companies and consulting firms that work with clients across multiple regions.
Are these new grad integration engineer jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior integration engineer roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-ops toward the requirement, or accepts a strong portfolio in place of full-time history. Look for language like "entry level," "junior," or "new grad" in the job description as a reliable signal.
Which industries hire the most entry level integration engineers?
Entry Level integration engineer roles concentrate in Electronics & Hardware, Technology & Software, and Aerospace & Defense, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they depend heavily on connecting disparate software systems, automating data exchange, and maintaining reliable pipelines between internal tools and third-party platforms.
