Entry Level Interventional Radiologist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level interventional radiologist job?
Employers hiring at the entry level prioritize completed residency and fellowship training, hands-on procedural volume, and board eligibility or certification. Candidates who document case diversity, demonstrate proficiency with image-guided techniques, and secure strong attending physician references tend to stand out. Applying to hospital systems and imaging centers that explicitly recruit new graduates or fellows completing training gives you the strongest starting point.
Which companies hire entry level interventional radiologists?
Companies hiring entry level interventional radiologists right now include Geisinger, Mayo Clinic, and University of Florida, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from hospital health systems, academic medical centers, and radiology group practices that regularly onboard physicians completing fellowship training.
Are there remote entry level interventional radiologist jobs?
Yes, though most interventional radiology roles require on-site presence given the procedural nature of the work. About 0% of entry level interventional radiologist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve teleradiology interpretation, consultation duties, or administrative components rather than hands-on procedures.
Are these new grad interventional radiologist jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior interventional radiologist roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes candidates with zero to two years of attending experience, accepts fellowship completion in place of prior practice history, or explicitly notes openness to physicians transitioning directly from training programs. A strong fellowship portfolio can substitute for years of independent practice.
Which industries hire the most entry level interventional radiologists?
Entry Level interventional radiologist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Animal Care & Pet Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at the entry level because they operate high-volume procedural suites, maintain dedicated IR programs, and have structured onboarding pathways built for physicians finishing fellowship.
