INTRODUCTION
Cleveland Clinic invites highly qualified Board Eligible/Board Certified Interventional Radiologists to join our expanding faculty in the Department of Radiology. We are currently recruiting two full-time Interventional Radiologists to support continued growth across our main campus and regional health system.

Position Summary
The Interventional Radiology Division at Cleveland Clinic is experiencing significant growth in both infrastructure and clinical services. Expansion plans include:
- Two additional angiography suites at main campus in 2027
- One additional angiography suite at a regional site in the coming years
- An interventional MRI suite at main campus in the coming years
- Continued growth in clinical programs and procedural services
Candidates must have formal fellowship training in Interventional Radiology. Interest in or experience with pediatric procedures and/or research is desirable but not required.
Practice Environment
Cleveland Clinic is an internationally renowned academic medical center and integrated health system. The main campus includes a 1,400+ bed tertiary/quaternary care hospital, ambulatory care facilities, and a major research institute. The Interventional Radiology practice also serves six integrated community hospitals within the health system (all located within 30 minutes or less from our main campus).
The Interventional Radiology Division has a long-standing tradition of excellence in the treatment of patients with:
- Vascular disease
- Pulmonary disease
- Hepatobiliary disease
- Gastrointestinal disease
- Genitourinary disease
- Oncologic disease
Clinical resources include:
- 6 angiography labs at main campus
- Additional angiography labs at affiliated regional hospitals
- Active MRA/CTA programs
- A dedicated Interventional Radiology clinic
- Multidisciplinary clinics for liver tumors, vascular malformations, and IVC filters
- A full IR inpatient consult service at main campus and several regional hospitals
Our radiologists are supported by a highly experienced team of 15 Advanced Practice Providers, including Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Radiologist Assistants.
Annual procedural volume exceeds 16,000 procedures, with a high percentage of high-end complex procedures.
Clinical Scope
The practice includes a broad range of advanced interventional procedures, including:
- Organ-specific, access-related, and transplant-related vascular interventions
- Biliary interventions, including cholangioscopic procedures
- TIPS creation
- Recanalization of portal vein thrombosis
- Gastrostomy procedures
- Genitourinary interventions
- Uterine fibroid, prostate, and musculoskeletal embolization
- Hepatic therapeutic embolization and infusion therapies, including high-volume Y90 and Hepzato Kit
- Vascular anomaly treatment
- Pulmonary artery thrombectomy and angioplasty
- Dialysis access interventions
- Ablation of spine, renal, hepatic, and soft-tissue tumors
The division is actively involved in multidisciplinary care through participation in biliary, spine, pelvic pain, and tumor board conferences across the main campus and regional sites.
Academic and Research Opportunities

Education
The section currently includes:
- 2 ACGME-approved Integrated IR Residency positions per year, with a request to expand to 3
- At least 2 Independent IR Residency positions per year
Faculty are expected to contribute to resident and fellow education and mentorship.
Research
The Department of Radiology has a fully staffed and professionally managed research infrastructure that supports clinical trials and investigator-initiated research. The IR Section has multiple active clinical and basic science projects, including:
- A funded Interventional Radiology basic research laboratory
- Dedicated research personnel, including a PhD-level research associate
- A postdoctoral fellow
- Internal and external funding support
- Ongoing product development initiatives and patent activity
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Interventional Radiology
- Completion of formal fellowship training in Interventional Radiology
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Ohio
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in clinical care, teamwork, and education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Interest in or experience with pediatric interventional procedures
- Interest in clinical, translational, or basic science research

COMPENSATION
The salary range displayed in this job posting reflects the anticipated salary range for new physicians hired into full-time (100% FTE) positions. This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.

- Minimum salary: $600,000
- Maximum salary: $711,000
