Job Overview
Reports to: SR. IT Manager & Regional IT Manager
Location: Seattle, WA
Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday; 7:30am – 4:00pm
Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
- Support Information Technology request and troubleshoot end user computing & access issues via Valence I.T. Help Ticket system.
- Maintain and support End User personal computers (desktop & laptop), Operating System, Office 365 & commonly used applications, scanners & printers, office & mobile phones, and approved access to Valence applications and data.
- Maintain and support Server (virtual/physical) infrastructure including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, system resource monitoring, (light) SQL database administration, data back-up and recovery; and assist in adding/refreshing server technologies & environments.
- Maintain and support Network infrastructure including internet & intranet connectivity, firewalls, routers, switches, and all network segments. Analyze network performance using network utilities to perform network/segment tuning, to ensure secure and performant connectivity to internal and external systems including 3rd party applications/public and government cloud environments.
- Monitor Information Technology Performance Dashboard to prevent and/or minimize events impacting Valence business and end users. management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed.
- Work with Valence IT, site, and 3rd party resources to execute IT related projects across multiple regions/sites.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 5+ years hands on experience setting up domain users, reviewing group policies, managing OU permissions, and maintaining the account and network passwords.
- 3+ years hands on experience managing and maintaining Hyper V, VMWare, vSphere, ESXi, resource pools, VMFS, and virtual switching.
- 3+ years hands on experience managing Firewall appliances such as SonicWall and Fortinet.
- Must have hands on experience with Office 365 administration and MFA products.
- Must have hands on experience with LAN/WAN technologies – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT/PAT, VLANs
- Must have good organization and documentation skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Must have proven capability to communicate (verbal/written) complex technical information to junior and senior levels in the organization.
- Must have proven capabilities to prioritize and execute multiple tasks concurrently and effectively respond/participate in urgent scenarios impacting key business objectives.
- A good understanding of PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix is highly desirable.
Compensation Range $85,000 - $95,000 annually
Education / Certification Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MIS, or a related field
- Certified in one of the following: Network+, Security+, or MCSA.
- Able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends (onsite or over the network) to support Information Technology project work/issue resolution when needed.
