- Serve as the primary liaison with our Managed Service Provider — reviewing Statements of Work and agreements, holding the MSP accountable to service commitments, and representing the agency in regular performance reviews

- Identify and implement underutilized M365 capabilities that can improve collaboration and efficiency across the agency
- Build and maintain comprehensive IT documentation, SOPs, and system guides so that institutional knowledge lives with the organization — not with any one individual
- Ensure documentation stays current as systems and processes evolve
- Partner with departments across the agency to identify inefficiencies and deliver technology solutions that improve how work gets done
- Serve as a proactive advisor — bringing ideas to the table before problems arise
- Own the company's full software portfolio — conduct regular audits for redundancy, eliminate unused licenses, identify gaps, and ensure every platform is actively delivering value
- Manage vendor relationships, renewals, and contract terms across the software stack
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date IT asset inventory
- Manage the full device lifecycle from procurement and configuration through retirement and disposal
- Provide responsive, friendly on-site support for devices, printers, peripherals, and workplace technology
- Own the new hire onboarding technology experience — ensuring every employee is set up, connected, and ready to contribute from day one
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
- 5+ years in IT, with at least 2+ years serving as a lead IT resource or in a coordination and oversight capacity
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience, including SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, and Intune; Microsoft certifications a plus
- Proven track record managing vendor and MSP relationships, including contract review, performance accountability, and escalation management
- Experience auditing and managing a multi-platform SaaS environment — evaluating tools for value, eliminating redundancy, and managing renewals
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices, endpoint management, and device lifecycle management
- Experience building and maintaining IT documentation, SOPs, and knowledge bases
- Strong project management skills — able to prioritize, manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and follow through without being prompted
- Exceptional communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical employees at all levels of the organization
- High degree of integrity and professionalism, with a strict commitment to confidentiality
- Proficiency in DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, and TCP/IP networking protocols
- In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and associated Microsoft products
- Experience administering or supporting Google Workspace in a business environment a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Server environments and client-server architecture
- Hands-on experience with Intune, endpoint management, and deploying and configuring workstations
- Working knowledge of Cisco DUO deployment and management
- Experience troubleshooting and deploying network switches and understanding of network topologies
- Familiarity with Android and iOS device management
- Experience working within formal change management processes
