Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Entry-Level Firearms Engineer to join our research and development team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will assist in designing, prototyping, and testing next-generation small arms and tactical accessories. This is a hands-on position perfect for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to turn their mechanical aptitude into a professional aerospace and defense career.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Support: Utilize 3D CAD software to create and modify firearm component blueprints.
- Prototyping: Assist in building and assembling experimental prototypes for mechanical testing.
- Testing & Evaluation: Conduct live-fire and laboratory testing to evaluate durability, accuracy, and cycle reliability.
- Data Analysis: Analyze test data and high-speed footage to troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure designs meet SAAMI standards, military specifications, and internal safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Skills: Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling, basic hand tools, and foundational engineering principles.
- Knowledge: Strong structural understanding of mechanical systems, linkages, and materials science.
- Legal: Must legally be able to possess, handle, and transport firearms under federal, state, and local laws. Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR regulations.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
