Junior Analyst Jobs in Salt Lake City: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a junior analyst job in Salt Lake City?
The strongest path is targeting Salt Lake City's finance and fintech firms clustered downtown, the technology companies along the Silicon Slopes corridor, and the large healthcare systems based in the city. Candidates with Excel, SQL, or basic data visualization skills stand out here. Internships with local credit unions, insurance companies, or regional banks also convert to full-time junior analyst roles at a higher rate than cold applications.
Which companies hire junior analysts in Salt Lake City?
Employers hiring junior analysts in Salt Lake City right now include Bosch, Coram AI, and Dennis, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. The local market includes a mix of large financial services firms, regional healthcare organizations, and mid-size technology companies that have expanded their analytics teams in recent years.
Are there remote junior analyst jobs in Salt Lake City?
Yes, though availability depends on the role type. Desk-based and data-focused analyst positions are meaningfully more remote-friendly than operations or client-facing analyst roles. About 50% of junior analyst openings tied to Salt Lake City are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, with most flexibility concentrated in technology and financial services roles rather than healthcare or government positions.
How can I get a junior analyst job in Salt Lake City with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to analyst associate or data coordinator roles at Salt Lake City's regional banks, credit unions, and insurance carriers, which regularly hire candidates without prior analyst titles if they demonstrate quantitative coursework or self-taught data skills. University of Utah and Westminster University alumni networks also connect graduates directly to local employers. A portfolio of personal or academic projects showing Excel, SQL, or Tableau work gives entry-level candidates a concrete edge over applicants with comparable resumes.
Which industries hire the most junior analysts in Salt Lake City?
Most junior analyst openings in Salt Lake City sit in Food & Beverage and Consulting & Professional Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Salt Lake City's position as a regional financial hub and the continued growth of technology employers along the Silicon Slopes corridor drive consistent demand across those sectors.
