Junior Analyst Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a junior analyst in Utah?
Most junior analyst roles in Utah require a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, accounting, or a quantitative field. No state-issued license is required for the analyst role itself, though candidates pursuing financial planning tracks may eventually sit for the CFA or CFP exams. Utah employers, particularly in Salt Lake City's financial services corridor, strongly prefer candidates who can demonstrate Excel proficiency and basic data analysis skills alongside their degree.
Which companies hire junior analysts in Utah?
Utah junior analyst roles are posted by Elkstone Roofing and Construction, CARVANA, and Vail Resorts and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Utah's concentration of financial services headquarters, large tech campuses, and health system operations means demand comes from several distinct industry sectors simultaneously.
Which Utah cities have the most junior analyst jobs?
Salt Lake City, Sandy, and Saint George account for the largest share of junior analyst openings in Utah. Salt Lake City drives the bulk of demand through its established financial services, healthcare, and technology sectors, while Provo benefits from a dense cluster of tech companies and university-affiliated employers, and Ogden supports analyst roles tied to manufacturing, logistics, and regional government operations.
Are there remote junior analyst jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 36% of junior analyst openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how well desk-based analytical work translates to distributed environments. Data analysis, financial modeling, and business intelligence reporting are the sub-areas most likely to offer remote or hybrid flexibility within junior analyst postings.
How can I get hired as a junior analyst in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to rotational analyst programs or new-graduate associate roles at large Utah employers, particularly in Salt Lake City's financial and healthcare sectors. Intermountain Health, Goldman Sachs, and Utah-based credit unions and regional banks often recruit directly from Utah universities for analyst development programs. Candidates who build a portfolio of Excel models or SQL queries, or who hold an internship from a Utah employer, close the experience gap faster than those relying on coursework alone.
Where can I find and apply to junior analyst jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to junior analyst jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current Utah openings updated in real time. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and location, and apply directly to whichever positions fit your situation.
