Junior Project Manager – Solar Finance & NTP

ILUM Solar is one of California's fastest-growing solar and battery installation companies. We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Junior Project Manager to help move residential solar and battery projects from financing approval through Notice to Proceed (NTP) and into installation.

This position serves as a critical link between homeowners, sales representatives, financing partners, and internal operations teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong communication skills, and enjoys helping customers through the solar installation process.

Responsibilities

• Review solar projects for financing readiness and NTP approval.
• Work directly with homeowners to obtain required documentation.
• Communicate with sales representatives regarding missing items and project status updates.
• Coordinate with financing partners including GoodLeap, LightReach, Participate Energy, Sungage, Travis Credit Union, and other lending programs.
• Review financing conditions and ensure all stipulations are satisfied.
• Verify contracts, utility bills, identification documents, and homeowner information for accuracy.
• Track projects through CRM and project management systems.
• Maintain regular communication with customers regarding financing, permitting, and installation timelines.
• Assist in resolving financing, documentation, and project approval issues.
• Coordinate with permitting, engineering, and operations teams to ensure smooth project progression.
• Monitor project milestones and help ensure projects move efficiently from Contract Signed to NTP.
• Maintain detailed notes and records of all customer and financing communications.
• Support management with project reporting and pipeline tracking. Project coordination and communication are key responsibilities in solar project management roles.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of project coordination, customer service, operations, finance, or solar industry experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Comfortable speaking with homeowners, sales representatives, and financing partners.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM software.
• Experience with solar financing, PPAs, loans, or renewable energy is a plus.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and meet deadlines.
