How do I get a lab technician job in Los Angeles?
Focus your search on the employers that hire most in Los Angeles: hospital networks, independent clinical labs, biotech and pharmaceutical companies in the South Bay and Torrance corridor, and environmental testing firms serving the region's industrial and municipal sectors. Candidates with phlebotomy certification, ASCP credentials, or hands-on experience with high-volume analyzers stand out. Applying directly to hospital systems and contract lab companies moves faster than waiting for recruiter outreach.

Los Angeles hiring is driven by a mix of major hospital systems, independent reference labs, and biotech firms with research and manufacturing operations across the metro.
Are there remote lab technician jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, but only for roles where the work itself does not require handling specimens or operating equipment on site. Bench-level clinical and research positions remain fully on site across Los Angeles facilities.
How can I get a lab technician job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is a phlebotomy or medical laboratory assistant role at a hospital-affiliated outpatient clinic or a high-volume reference lab in the area. Los Angeles County health facilities, UCLA Health community clinics, and contract labs regularly hire entry-level candidates with a completed MLT program or a medical assistant certificate. Volunteering at a community health center and earning your ASCP MLT credential while working accelerates the move into a full technician role.
