What a day in the life of the Licensed Land Surveyor would look like
You will perform surveying, platting, and construction services while using the latest Autodesk software and Trimble technology to achieve precise results. Additionally, you will manage surveying budgets and schedules effectively. Your day will also consist of engaging in and communicating with clients on various projects, providing budgets and cost estimates to deliver a high-quality product that meets their needs.
- Conduct comprehensive surveying services, including ALTA, boundary, and topographic surveys, as well as construction layout and platting.
- Leverage advanced Autodesk software and Trimble technology to ensure precision and efficiency in all projects.
- Oversee and manage survey budgets and schedules to optimize project delivery.
- Develop and present accurate budgets and cost estimates for prospective projects.
Foster strong client relationships through effective communication and engagement throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
What you will need to thrive in this role:
Experience: 6+ years of experience performing professional land surveying services, managing budgets and schedules, providing cost estimates, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Licensure: Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) Engineer in the state of Illinois or ability to obtain
Location: Decatur, IL
Software skills: Microsoft 365, Adobe or similar, AutoCAD
Adaptability: excel at adapting to changing project requirements.
