ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our Milwaukee plant safe, efficient, and well maintained. This role oversees building systems and manufacturing equipment, facility and grounds upkeep, vendors and contractors, inspections and records, building security systems, and some onsite support for computer hardware and voice/data wiring.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Maintenance & Repair
- Complete general building and manufacturing maintenance and repairs efficiently and on schedule.
- Design and build manufacturing equipment and fixtures.
- Operate and maintain facility equipment and tools.
- Train employees to operate equipment safely and correctly.
- Keep work areas clean, orderly, and well organized.
Building & Grounds
- Maintain the building and surrounding grounds year-round and direct an outside landscaping service that handles snowplowing and lawn care.
- Track equipment and supply inventory and order parts or replacements as needed.
- Coordinate vendors and contractors for work that exceeds in-house capabilities and serve as their onsite point of contact.
- Schedule required building, fire, and plumbing inspections and maintain the related records.
- Perform in-house inspections of other building systems and maintain documentation.
- Contribute to annual budgeting for facility maintenance and repairs.
Security
- Manage day-to-day building security, including on-call availability as needed for security-related issues.
- Administer and maintain the security camera system, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate outside service when needed.
- Monitor cameras for unusual activity.
- Maintain and administer the building alarm and access-control systems.
- Coordinate with law enforcement when necessary.
Onsite IT Support
- Partner with the IT department to troubleshoot onsite equipment.
- Assist with the initial setup of new computers before advanced configuration.
- Upgrade, repair, deploy, and relocate computer equipment.
- Install, maintain, and relocate voice and data cabling.
- Troubleshoot voice and data communication issues.
Other duties may be assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work confidently with a wide range of tools and equipment.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for describing issues and documenting resolutions and procedures.
- Strong project and time-management skills, with the ability to balance scheduled work, inspections, and unplanned repairs.
- Professional judgment and discretion, particularly when handling security matters.
- Willingness and ability to remain available 24/7 for building emergencies.
- Forklift-driving experience or the willingness and ability to learn.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or trade training is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fabrication or fixture-building experience (welding, machining, etc.)
- Basic PC hardware, networking, or low-voltage cabling experience
- Familiarity with OSHA and fire/life-safety requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires lifting, prolonged standing and walking, climbing ladders, and working in both indoor manufacturing conditions and Wisconsin weather throughout the year.
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
