Most employers hire candidates with a bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, economics, or business, and many prefer or require proficiency in a major survey platform like Qualtrics, which is headquartered in Provo. Candidates who add a credential such as the Professional Researcher Certification from the Insights Association tend to stand out with larger Utah employers in tech and healthcare.
How much do market research analysts make in Utah?
Market research analysts in Utah earn a median of about $62,630 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $38,380 for the lowest 10% to over $120,410 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire market research analysts in Utah?
Companies currently hiring market research analysts in Utah include Lucid Software, Kleinfelder, and Paychex, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Utah's Silicon Slopes corridor means many of these openings sit inside software and SaaS companies that rely on ongoing consumer and competitive research to guide product decisions.
Which Utah cities have the most market research analyst jobs?

Salt Lake City anchors demand through its financial services, healthcare, and corporate headquarters, while Provo and Lehi draw heavily from the Silicon Slopes tech cluster, where companies like Qualtrics and Adobe maintain significant analytics and insights teams.
