Working with the leadership of the Gary R. Herbert Institute for Public Policy, you will collaborate with students, faculty, community organizations, and government leaders to conduct research, collect and analyze data, prepare reports, and support projects that address issues of local, state, and national importance. The role provides valuable hands-on experience in research, policy analysis, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Serves as a member of a team researching various civic engagement projects.
• Works directly with campus and community partners to assure successful and timely completion of projects.
• Collects and analyzes data and develops written reports.
• Assists with the design and execution of events and activities in association with local government leaders and community partners.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

High school diploma or equivalent education plus one year of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with graphic design, digital media, social media, or general marketing.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Knowledge of research design and procedures, specifically in approaches anchored in "design thinking".
• Skills in conducting interviews, focus groups, surveys, and general research design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce professional-quality research, writing, and findings in a timely manner.
