JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Media is looking for a Manager, Insights & Analytics to support our growing portfolio of subscription products, anchored today by FOX Nation.

This role is the marketing and lifecycle specialist on the subscription analytics team. You will own the measurement behind how we acquire, convert, win back, and retain subscribers: campaign and channel performance, CPA and spend efficiency, offer and promotional testing, and the CRM and lifecycle programs that carry subscribers through their tenure. You will also work on engagement measurement for our subscription products, because what subscribers do after they convert is what ultimately determines whether marketing spend pays back.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver with real marketing intuition who can write their own SQL, turn data into actionable business insight, and tell a clear story to non-technical partners.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITES

Marketing & Acquisition Analytics

• Serve as a key strategist for marketing, acquisition, win-back, and retention efforts, turning data insights into concrete recommendations on offers, timing, and targeting

• Own recurring reporting on subscriber acquisition, retention, churn (voluntary and involuntary), and cancellations

• Partner with Marketing to analyze campaign performance across channels and connect marketing spend to downstream subscriber acquisition and retention

• Own CPA calculations and marketing spend efficiency analysis, monitoring performance by channel, campaign, and offer, and identifying where spend should shift

• Build and maintain dashboards tracking key subscription metrics (churn rate, cancel rate, plan mix, CPA, and related measures)

• Conduct cohort analysis to identify trends by acquisition channel, offer, plan type, and tenure

• Investigate drivers behind churn and cancellation trends and flag actionable takeaways to stakeholders

• Analyze pricing, packaging, and promotional performance to inform future offer strategy

CRM & Lifecycle Measurement

• Measure CRM and lifecycle campaign performance across email, push, in-app, and SMS, and connect it to subscription conversion, migration, and retention outcomes

• Build and refine attribution models (e.g., first-touch) to quantify the impact of marketing and CRM activity on subscriber outcomes

• Conduct segmentation and cohort analysis to surface at-risk segments, re-engagement opportunities, and personalization angles across lifecycle channels

• Support experimentation efforts (e.g., offer, subject line, and message format testing) by helping isolate confounding variables such as content quality versus format

• Troubleshoot discrepancies between CRM platform reporting and internal tracking — naming mismatches, missing campaigns, deduplication logic — and resolve them at the query level

Engagement Measurement for Subscription Products

• Report on engagement KPIs for subscription products — active days, session frequency, content starts and completion, and platform mix across web, mobile app, CTV, YouTube, and third-party platforms

• Link early-tenure engagement to retention and LTV, identifying the behaviors that indicate a healthy subscriber and feeding that back into acquisition targeting, onboarding journeys, and offer design

• Evaluate which acquisition sources and offers produce the most engaged subscribers, not simply the most subscribers

Reporting, Data Quality & Partnership

• Write and maintain SQL (Snowflake or comparable) against subscription, billing, campaign, and engagement data to support recurring reporting and ad hoc stakeholder requests

• Translate data into clear, digestible summaries and recommendations for marketing and cross-functional stakeholders

• Maintain and improve recurring reporting processes to reduce manual work and improve accuracy, supporting the move toward self-service dashboards

• Proactively flag anomalies — tracking gaps, app issues, data quality problems — before they distort reporting or reach decision-makers

• Flag data quality issues or tracking gaps to Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering partners

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Strong SQL skills required — able to independently write queries involving joins, aggregations, and CTEs against large datasets. This is a must-have

• Experience in marketing analytics, subscription or growth analytics, or a related quantitative and reporting role

• Marketing intuition — an interest in and feel for how acquisition channels, campaigns, and offers affect subscriber behavior, not just the ability to pull numbers

• Experience analyzing or reporting on subscription and lifecycle metrics (acquisition, churn, cancellations, retention)

• Understanding of marketing attribution, including first-touch and multi-touch approaches

• Comfort working in a BI or visualization tool (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)

• Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills for ad hoc analysis, including pivot tables

• Good communication skills — able to explain data findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders

• Detail-oriented, with a track record of catching and resolving data quality issues before they reach leadership

• Experience with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor

• Hands-on experience with a CRM or lifecycle platform such as Braze — including campaign and canvas reporting, segment auditing, and data reconciliation — a plus

• Familiarity with subscription billing platforms (e.g., Recurly, Zuora, Stripe Billing) a plus

• Experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics 4, or a comparable engagement measurement tool a plus

• Prior experience in media, streaming, publishing, or another content subscription business a plus

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Math, Business Analytics) or equivalent practical experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $128,000.00-144,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
