Marketing Automation Specialist Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing automation specialist in Oregon?
Marketing automation specialist roles in Oregon require no state-issued license or registration. Most Oregon employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field combined with verified hands-on experience in a major automation platform such as Marketo, HubSpot, or Pardot. Platform certifications from those vendors carry real weight in Oregon hiring decisions and can substitute for years of experience at entry level. Building a portfolio of campaigns and workflow documentation accelerates the path into the role.
How much do marketing automation specialists make in Oregon?
Marketing automation specialists in Oregon earn a median of about $79,150 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $48,060 for the lowest 10% to over $151,800 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing automation specialists in Oregon?
Employers hiring marketing automation specialists in Oregon right now include Intel, NIKE, and Clean Water Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Oregon's mix of global corporate headquarters, regional technology firms, and a maturing direct-to-consumer sector means openings appear across a range of company sizes and industries throughout the year.
Which Oregon cities have the most marketing automation specialist jobs?
Portland, Hillsboro, and Oregon account for the largest share of marketing automation specialist openings in Oregon. Portland drives the majority of demand given its concentration of technology companies, retail and e-commerce brands, and financial services firms, while Beaverton and other inner-ring suburbs draw consistent volume from large corporate campuses anchored by employers such as Nike and Intel.
Are there remote marketing automation specialist jobs in Oregon?
Yes, and more than most fields. Marketing automation is inherently a desk-based, software-driven discipline, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 53% of marketing automation specialist openings tied to Oregon are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly Oregon employers have adopted flexible work models for this role. Campaign build-out, reporting, and platform administration are the functions most commonly performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a marketing automation specialist in Oregon with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a marketing coordinator or digital marketing associate role at an Oregon technology company or mid-size e-commerce brand, then demonstrating platform fluency quickly. Portland-area employers regularly move coordinators into automation functions once they complete a vendor certification such as HubSpot's Marketing Hub cert or Marketo's Certified Associate credential. Building a personal project portfolio that documents workflow logic, A/B test results, and list segmentation gives candidates with no formal work history a concrete proof point that accelerates hiring decisions.
Where can I find and apply to marketing automation specialist jobs in Oregon?
You can find and apply to marketing automation specialist jobs in Oregon on Migrate Mate, which lists current Oregon openings. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and target location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
