Marketing Data Analyst Jobs in Alaska: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing data analyst in Alaska?
Marketing data analyst work in Alaska requires no state-issued license or registration. Most employers in Anchorage and Juneau look for a bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, economics, or data science, along with demonstrated skills in SQL and data visualization. Building a portfolio of analytics projects, earning a vendor certification such as Google Analytics or Microsoft Power BI, and applying to analyst roles within Alaska's healthcare systems, resource companies, or state agencies is the most direct path.
How much do marketing data analysts make in Alaska?
Marketing data analysts in Alaska earn a median of about $66,710 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $44,320 for the lowest 10% to over $99,990 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing data analysts in Alaska?
Alaska marketing data analyst roles are posted by USI Insurance Services, Demand, and Ryder System and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Alaska's mix of large healthcare systems, resource-sector companies, and state government agencies creates a steady base of demand for analysts who can translate data into marketing decisions.
Which Alaska cities have the most marketing data analyst jobs?
Anchorage, Indian, and Juneau account for the largest share of marketing data analyst openings in Alaska. Anchorage drives the majority of listings as Alaska's commercial and population center, where healthcare systems, airlines, and retail headquarters are based, while Fairbanks and Juneau add roles through the University of Alaska system and state government operations respectively.
Are there remote marketing data analyst jobs in Alaska?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 33% of marketing data analyst openings tied to Alaska are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based and data-driven nature of the work. Tasks like reporting, campaign analysis, and dashboard maintenance are particularly well suited to remote arrangements, making location less of a barrier for qualified candidates.
How can I get hired as a marketing data analyst in Alaska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a junior analyst or marketing coordinator role at one of Alaska's larger employers, such as Providence Alaska Medical Center, the University of Alaska, or the State of Alaska's Office of Management and Budget, all of which hire analysts at the entry level. Lateral moves from adjacent roles in market research, business operations, or communications are common. A Google Analytics certification or a portfolio of self-directed projects demonstrating SQL and visualization skills gives candidates a measurable edge over applicants with only coursework.
Where can I find and apply to marketing data analyst jobs in Alaska?
You can find and apply to marketing data analyst jobs in Alaska on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the roles available, identify the ones that match your background and location preference, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
