INTRODUCTION

In this role, you’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and control systems to support safe, efficient, and reliable production. Your skills will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality packaging solutions to customers worldwide.
SCHEDULE:
Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 1:00am; OT as needed

- Overtime: 1.5x pay for hours over 40 per week

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Identify, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and simple electrical problems on plant facilities and production equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance per defined interval/schedule in a timely manner and document maintenance concerns/resolutions in an electronic database; providing action plans and status reports as needed.
- Respond to emergency requests for repairs/replacements, including fire system malfunctions which may be reported during off-hours.
- Ensure that all work performed meets required codes (OSHA, City and Federal) and is in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
- Perform machine shop work operating various machines such as drill presses, grinders, MIG/TIG/stick welders, plasma torches, cutting equipment (i.e. chop saw), pneumatic tools and electric/manual hand tools.
- Perform welding fabrication (both stick and gas) in various locations and positions including pipe and structural on various metals for new and existing equipment.
- Responsible for proper care/cleaning of tools, parts, materials and work area.
- Responsible for providing coverage in the absence of other Maintenance Technicians.
- Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves and aprons.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High level of experience and proficiency in the function, mechanics, and operation of all Maintenance equipment
- Computer and Software knowledge
- Able to work well with others / self motivated
- Strong mechanical skills
- Strong Attendance and Safety Record
- Be able to work both independently and in a team environment, completing objectives efficiently with a sense of responsibility.
- Be able to safely complete the physical tasks associated with the essential job functions. These tasks include extensive climbing, walking, lifting, bending, standing, carrying, and squatting.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in an Industrial Maintenance environment
