Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems within our production facility. Your expertise will ensure optimal equipment performance, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment using precision measuring instruments and schematics.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulic components, pneumatic systems, and mechanical machinery utilizing electrical diagnostics tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics reading.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repair activities including stick welding, welding repairs, and equipment calibration to ensure operational efficiency.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document maintenance activities, work orders, and asset histories.
- Read electrical blueprints and schematics to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Operate industrial machinery such as scissor lifts safely for equipment access or repairs within the manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting complex issues involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and automation controls to optimize production processes.
Skills
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, electrical troubleshooting, electrical blueprint reading, and electrical maintenance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting pneumatic systems effectively.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments including voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools for electrical diagnostics.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams related to mechanical and electrical systems for accurate diagnostics and repairs.
- Proficiency in welding techniques such as stick welding for equipment repair or fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting purposes.
- Strong analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to address operational issues promptly while maintaining safety standards.
