- Position: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
- Location: Highland Park Hospital
- Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10:30pm, e/o weekend and rotating holidays
What you will do:
- Able to solve technical and interdepartmental problems related to the various Laboratory areas
- Capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of results and taking corrective action or notifying appropriate supervisory personnel.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others.
What you will need:
- Education: Associate's degree and the requisite courses to meet CLIA requirements for moderate to high complexity testing.
- Certification: MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent and ongoing active certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: MT/MLS: Experience preferred. Internal MLT Candidate: Two (2) years of experience at NorthShore performing moderate to high complexity testing beyond POC/Waived testing with an achieved competency level of a Laboratory Associate. External MLT Candidate: Four (4) years of experience in a comparable healthcare setting of moderate to high complexity testing beyond POC/Waived testing with an achieved competency level of a Laboratory Associate.
