Entry Level Radiology Technologist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level radiology technologist job?
Employers at this level prioritize ARRT certification, completed clinical hours, and hands-on experience from student rotations or internships. Highlighting specific imaging modalities you trained on, such as fluoroscopy or computed radiography, gives you an edge. Tailoring your resume to show patient positioning skills and radiation safety knowledge helps hiring managers see you are ready to work independently from day one.
Which companies hire entry level radiology technologists?
Companies hiring entry level radiology technologists right now include Advocate Aurora Health, Geisinger, and Atrium Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, and diagnostic clinic networks are among the most active employers at this level, and many post openings specifically welcoming new graduates and junior candidates.
Are there remote entry level radiology technologist jobs?
Yes, though most radiology technologist roles require on-site patient care. About 0% of entry level radiology technologist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to involve teleradiology support, image quality review, or administrative coordination rather than direct imaging work. On-site clinical roles remain the primary path for new grads entering the field.
Are these new grad radiology technologist jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior radiology technologist roles alongside other entry level openings. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts clinical rotations or internship hours toward the requirement, or lists ARRT eligibility rather than full certification as the minimum. Look for language like 'new graduates encouraged to apply' as a clear signal.
