About the Role
Suno is growing fast, and paid social creative is a major driver of that growth. The right person for this role takes Suno's brand identity and pushes it into performance creative that earns attention and converts – work that drives growth and brings the excitement of using Suno to everyone who sees it.
This is a hybrid graphic and motion design role on the performance marketing team. You'll own the branded paid social creative pipeline: conceiving, producing, and iterating on work across static and motion formats. You'll work closely with the performance marketing team, treating data and channel insights as creative inputs rather than afterthoughts. Over time, you'll help build the workflows and systems that let us scale without losing what makes Suno's creative distinctive. As the team grows, there's a path to managing other creative contributors.

- Develop workflows and production processes that scale creative output without diluting brand quality
- Help shape how the next generation of creators discovers Suno – the creative you make is often their first impression

Motion Graphics Designer Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a motion graphics designer in California?
Motion graphics design has no state-issued license or certification requirement in California, so the path centers on education and portfolio. Most California employers expect at minimum an associate or bachelor's degree in motion graphics, graphic design, or animation from a program at a California institution such as CalArts, UCLA, or a California College of the Arts. A strong portfolio showing real projects across broadcast, digital, and social formats matters more to hiring managers than credentials alone.
How much do motion graphics designers make in California?
Motion graphics designers in California earn a median of about $130,540 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $71,710 for the lowest 10% to over $206,160 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire motion graphics designers in California?
Employers hiring motion graphics designers in California right now include TikTok, Superpower, and Harvey, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. California's concentration of entertainment studios, streaming platforms, and major tech companies makes it one of the deepest hiring markets for motion graphics talent in the country.
Which California cities have the most motion graphics designer jobs?
San Francisco, San Jose, and Irvine have the most motion graphics designer openings in California. Los Angeles dominates because of its dense cluster of entertainment studios, streaming companies, and advertising agencies, while San Francisco and San Diego draw demand from tech product teams and digital marketing departments at major corporations headquartered there.
Are there remote motion graphics designer jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most creative fields, since motion graphics work is largely screen-based and deliverable-driven. About 50% of motion graphics designer openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how widely distributed the talent pool has become since streaming and tech companies normalized distributed creative teams. Fully remote roles are most common in social media animation and UI motion design, where collaboration happens through shared files and async review tools.
How can I get hired as a motion graphics designer in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a junior animator or motion design assistant role at a production company, post-production house, or in-house creative team. California employers including entertainment studios and mid-size advertising agencies regularly hire for entry-level positions where candidates come in from adjacent roles like graphic designer, video editor, or visual effects assistant. Building a focused portfolio of spec work or student projects and completing a certificate program through a California community college or art school gives early-career candidates a measurable edge.
Where can I find and apply to motion graphics designer jobs in California?
You can find and apply to motion graphics designer jobs in California on Migrate Mate, which lists current California openings across industries and experience levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly.
