Mid Level Network Architect Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level network architect job?
Lead with ownership, not just participation. Highlight projects where you drove the design decisions, not ones where you executed someone else's plan. Employers at this level want to see that you've handled routing protocols, segmentation, or cloud network integration without constant supervision. Certifications like CCNP or equivalent validate depth, but concrete examples of problem-solving under real constraints close the deal.
Which companies hire mid level network architects?
Companies hiring mid level network architects right now include Attollo, Ascension, and MAG Aerospace, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers large enterprises managing complex distributed infrastructure, government contractors requiring cleared professionals, and managed service providers scaling client network operations.
Are there remote mid level network architect jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and role type. About 23% of mid level network architect openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common at organizations that require occasional hands-on access to physical hardware or data center environments. Fully remote roles tend to favor architecture and design work over hands-on configuration.
How do I move up to a mid level network architect role?
The path from entry level to mid level network architect is built on taking ownership progressively. Start by volunteering for scoped design tasks, not just implementation. Build depth in a specialization such as SD-WAN, cloud networking, or network security rather than staying generalist. Document the measurable impact of your work, reduced latency, improved uptime, or faster rollouts, so you can speak to outcomes rather than just activities.
Which industries hire the most mid level network architects?
Mid Level network architect roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Technology & Software, and Telecommunications, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to operate large, geographically distributed networks with ongoing modernization programs, which creates sustained demand for architects who can own projects beyond the entry level but do not yet require a principal or staff-level scope.
