Job Description
Work Location: Durham, NC 27703 (Onsite work)
Job Title: Network Security Engineer
Duration: 36 Months
Work Hours: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – 7 AM to 8 PM (13 hours a day)
Must be flexible to work what is needed
Details:
- Will be responsible for configuring and maintaining customer infrastructure firewalls (Cisco PIX/ASA, Juniper Netscreen & SRX, Fortinet Fortigate).
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: initial configuration, code upgrades, VPN setup, support MACD (adding/deleting rules), performance analysis, and rule analysis for customer submissions, design validation, minor architectural recommendations, and break/fix troubleshooting.
- Primary responsibility is to provide Tier 2 network security support of shared firewall environments supporting multiple customers.
- This position interfaces with external clients and is highly visible.
- Responsible for general architecture, initial configurations and subsequent management of one or more firewall/VPN based systems.
- Provide 24X7 production supports to accept, operate, and maintain security elements. Troubleshoot end to end network and application connectivity.
