Nursing Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a nursing job in Phoenix?
Focus your search on Phoenix's large hospital systems anchored in Midtown and along the Central Avenue medical corridor, as well as the rapidly expanding outpatient and ambulatory care centers in the East Valley suburbs like Chandler and Gilbert. Candidates with experience in emergency, surgical, or behavioral health settings are especially competitive here. Getting familiar with Arizona's nursing compact status and applying directly to hospital system career portals gives you a meaningful edge.
Which companies hire nursings in Phoenix?
Employers hiring nursings in Phoenix right now include HonorHealth, Mayo Clinic, and Phoenix Children's, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Phoenix's market is anchored by large integrated health systems, community hospital networks, and a growing number of federally qualified health centers serving the region's diverse urban and tribal communities.
Are there remote nursing jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though options are limited since most nursing roles require direct patient care on-site. About 0% of nursing openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, concentrated in utilization review, case management, and telehealth triage positions. Phoenix's large insurance carriers and managed care organizations are among the most active local employers offering those remote-eligible nursing roles.
How can I get a nursing job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Phoenix is applying to new graduate residency programs offered by the major health systems in the Midtown and downtown medical corridors, which are designed specifically to onboard candidates coming straight out of nursing school. Phoenix also has a strong network of skilled nursing facilities and home health agencies that regularly hire new graduates for med-surg and long-term care roles. Completing a clinical rotation at a Phoenix facility and networking with unit managers directly can open doors that general applications often miss.
Which industries hire the most nursings in Phoenix?
Most nursing openings in Phoenix sit in Healthcare & Medical Services and Education, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Phoenix's rapid population growth, large retiree population, and expanding network of outpatient and specialty clinics drive sustained hiring demand across those sectors throughout the year.
