- Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday 8:00-8:30AM - 4:30-5:00PM with 30-minute lunch; Weekend On-Call Requirement – Weekend on call requirement 1 or less per quarter; Holidays – Minor Holiday (Memorial Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July, Labor Day, New Year's Day) - sign up for 3 shifts per year; Major Holiday (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas) rotation for on call for swallowing evaluations.

Here’s What You Need
- Master's Degree Speech Language Pathology Required Or
- SLP Experience with adult population, acute care hospital-based, inpatient setting.
- SLP - Speech Language Pathology Texas Speech Language Pathology License Upon Hire Required Or
SLP - Speech Language Pathology Texas Speech Language Pathology License Upon Hire Preferred
- Strongly prefer CCC – Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Problem- solving ability; Ability to teach others.
- Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.
What You Will Do
- Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.
- Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.
- Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home
- Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and departmental personnel
