Patient Services Manager Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a patient services manager job in Los Angeles?
Target Los Angeles's largest employer clusters: the hospital networks anchored in Westwood and Boyle Heights, the managed care organizations headquartered in Woodland Hills and Glendale, and the outpatient specialty groups growing across the San Fernando Valley. Candidates who combine prior front-desk or care coordination experience with familiarity in Epic or Cerner consistently stand out. Bilingual Spanish or Korean skills add a genuine edge in this market.
Which companies hire patient services managers in Los Angeles?
Companies currently hiring patient services managers in Los Angeles include NAC, PwC, and Stantec, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles's hiring mix skews heavily toward large integrated health systems, multi-site outpatient groups, and regional insurance carriers with local operations.
Are there remote patient services manager jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though selectively: hands-on supervisory roles tied to a clinic floor are almost always on-site, while utilization management, insurance authorization, and patient experience coordination can run remotely. About 24% of patient services manager openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with insurance and managed care employers offering the most flexible arrangements.
How can I get a patient services manager job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is moving up from a patient access representative or medical receptionist role at one of the city's large outpatient groups or community health centers, particularly Federally Qualified Health Centers operating in East Los Angeles and South Los Angeles. These organizations hire entry-level coordinators regularly and promote from within. Certifications in medical billing or healthcare administration from a local community college strengthen an application considerably.
Which industries hire the most patient services managers in Los Angeles?
Los Angeles patient services manager roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Consulting & Professional Services, and Insurance, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles's scale as a regional healthcare hub, combined with its large uninsured and Medicaid-eligible population, drives sustained demand for patient-facing management across hospitals, clinics, and payer organizations alike.
