Entry Level Pediatric Physician Assistant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level pediatric physician assistant job?
Start by highlighting your clinical rotations, pediatric-focused coursework, and any internship hours with children's patient populations. Entry level employers look for candidates who are newly certified or board-eligible, comfortable working under physician supervision, and show familiarity with pediatric assessments. A strong letter of recommendation from a clinical preceptor and demonstrated communication skills with young patients and their families can give you a real edge.
Which companies hire entry level pediatric physician assistants?
Companies hiring entry level pediatric physician assistants right now include Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, MultiCare Health System, and Ascension, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from children's hospitals, multi-specialty pediatric practices, and large health systems that run structured onboarding programs for new graduate physician assistants.
Are there remote entry level pediatric physician assistant jobs?
Yes, though remote roles are limited given the hands-on nature of pediatric care. About 2% of entry level pediatric physician assistant openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions typically involve telehealth triage, care coordination, or follow-up consultations rather than primary in-person exams.
Are these new grad pediatric physician assistant jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior pediatric physician assistant roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts supervised clinical hours or internships toward the requirement, or explicitly states that new graduates are encouraged to apply. Look for roles that mention structured mentorship or onboarding.
