Entry Level Pediatric Registered Nurse Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level pediatric registered nurse job?
Start by targeting hospitals, pediatric specialty clinics, and children's health systems that run new graduate residency or nurse externship programs, since these are designed for candidates with limited bedside experience. Highlight any pediatric clinical rotations, practicum hours, or volunteer work with children in your application. A current BLS certification, NCLEX passage, and a cover letter that speaks directly to pediatric patient populations give entry level candidates a meaningful edge.
Which companies hire entry level pediatric registered nurses?
Companies hiring entry level pediatric registered nurses right now include American Traveler, Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc, and Ivy Rehab Network, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from children's hospitals, large health systems with dedicated pediatric units, and outpatient pediatric practices that invest in new graduate onboarding and structured orientation programs.
Are there remote entry level pediatric registered nurse jobs?
Yes, though most pediatric nursing roles require in-person patient care. About 3% of entry level pediatric registered nurse openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and these positions typically involve pediatric telephone triage, care coordination, utilization review, or telehealth support rather than direct bedside nursing.
Are these new grad pediatric registered nurse jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior pediatric registered nurse roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts clinical rotations or practicum hours in place of prior employment, or explicitly mentions a new graduate residency program. Look for language like "new grads encouraged" or "orientation provided" as strong signals the employer is open to candidates early in their nursing career.
Which industries hire the most entry level pediatric registered nurses?
Entry Level pediatric registered nurse roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Non-Profit & Social Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they operate dedicated pediatric units, outpatient clinics, or community health programs that rely on a steady pipeline of newly licensed nurses to meet patient care demand.
