Entry Level Neuropsychologist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level neuropsychologist job?
Entry level neuropsychologist roles typically require a doctoral degree in neuropsychology or clinical psychology, plus supervised practicum or internship hours. Candidates who stand out at this stage often have experience with neuropsychological assessment batteries, solid report-writing skills, and faculty or supervisor references who can speak to clinical judgment. Completing a postdoctoral fellowship application early also keeps more options open.
Which companies hire entry level neuropsychologists?
Companies hiring entry level neuropsychologists right now include LifeStance Health, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Lyra Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of hospital systems, rehabilitation centers, academic medical centers, and outpatient behavioral health clinics that maintain supervised training pipelines for new clinicians.
Are there remote entry level neuropsychologist jobs?
Yes, though most neuropsychologist roles require in-person assessment work. About 6% of entry level neuropsychologist openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions tend to focus on scoring, report writing, telehealth consultations, or research coordination rather than direct patient assessment.
Are these new grad neuropsychologist jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior neuropsychologist roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of post-degree experience, accepts internship or practicum hours in place of independent practice, or explicitly invites candidates completing a fellowship or residency to apply.
Which industries hire the most entry level neuropsychologists?
Entry Level neuropsychologist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they maintain supervised clinical programs, credentialing pipelines, and research infrastructure that support new graduates building their independent practice hours.
