Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Moderate Sedation certification preferred or required per facility policy.
- Recent Cath Lab, ICU, CCU, ER, or critical care nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, assess, and educate patients before cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and patient response before, during, and after procedures.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and moderate sedation as appropriate.
- Recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies and changes in patient condition.
- Provide post-procedure monitoring, recovery care, and discharge education.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required by the facility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
