Entry Level Periodontist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level periodontist job?
Start by completing your periodontics residency and ensuring your dental license is active in the state where you want to practice. Employers hiring at this level look for strong clinical rotation experience, familiarity with periodontal surgical procedures, and the ability to work alongside general dentists and specialists. Highlighting patient care hours, specific procedure exposure, and any research or continuing education signals readiness even with limited post-graduation experience.
Which companies hire entry level periodontists?
Companies hiring entry level periodontists right now include Elite Dental Partners, Touro University New York, and 42 North Dental, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a mix of multi-location dental group practices, specialty periodontal clinics, and academic or hospital-affiliated dental centers that regularly bring on new graduates.
Are there remote entry level periodontist jobs?
Yes, though the majority of periodontist roles are hands-on and clinic-based. About 0% of entry level periodontist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically cover administrative, consulting, or dental education functions rather than direct patient care. Most new grads will start in fully on-site clinical settings.
Are these new grad periodontist jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad periodontist roles that also welcome junior candidates and recent graduates. A new-grad-friendly posting typically states that zero to two years of experience is acceptable, counts residency or clinical rotations toward experience, or explicitly encourages recent dental school graduates to apply. If a listing lists a residency certificate as sufficient qualification, it is designed for this stage.
Which industries hire the most entry level periodontists?
Entry Level periodontist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Medical Devices, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they operate high patient volumes, run structured mentorship programs for new graduates, and staff multiple locations that consistently need associate-level periodontal specialists.
